We are sharing here a few tips to help our hair replacement systems to last longer, by suggesting those actions that should be limited to the minimum or avoided when wearing a non-surgical thickening system or a tricologic system.
RUBBING:
This is one of the main factors influencing the life span of hair replacement systems, ruining the hair quite fast.
If we sleep wearing a replacement system, a wig, or a microline – which obviously will cause remarkable rubbing – we highly recommend using a silk pillow case that is an effective way to minimize this inconvenience.
INDUSTRIAL HAIR COLOURING:
Industrial and frequent hair dyes, especially those containing ammonia, are harmful for the hair.
Several clients do not understand it and they frequently dye their hair replacement systems – which causes a quick wear of the hair itself.
Therefore, try to avoid hair colouring or, if it is strictly necessary, to use delicate ammonia-free dyes, avoiding drastic and continual changes of hair color.
For instance, if your hair system is dark, dyeing it bleach blond will remarkably damage the hair quality.
HEAT:
The heat of a hair drier or a hair straightener also influences the hair system’s life span.
Therefore, if you want your system to last as long as possible, it is best to use these tools sparsely and, when using them, to guard the hair system using a thermo-protective product – especially with hair straighteners.
When it comes to drying your hair, choose ionic hair driers instead of traditional hair driers – as they are much less harmful for your hair and their hydration.
