Wigs and washing systems: what rules to observe?
Observing small but simple rules for maintaining and cleaning wigs is essential to keep them to the fullest and to ensure that they can have an aesthetic rendering always bright at any time. As regards the cleaning, it is done through the use of specific products or mild and neutral shampoos, better if with the addition of Balsam, to ensure an immediate soft effect to the touch.
The first thing to do is to get a rather large and deep container and fill it with cold water. You pour into it by mixing a small amount of neutral shampoo or adding balm. The wig should be dipped and soaked for about 10-15 minutes: it should not be wrung and should be combed with the use of a wide tooth comb or even better with the help of the sole hands.
Proceed to a gentle wash and not with the help of aggressive products.
Unfortunately, the artificial wigs unlike those made with real hair, can lose their standard seal if not properly washed. This could also damage the effect once you lay it on your head. For this reason, it is useful to carry out a delicate washing and not with the help of aggressive products. The dip operation in the container should be done twice after which the wig is ready for drying. The drying takes place simply in the air, not using hair dryers, straighteners, curling tongs or anything else.
As many experts recommend, it is necessary that the wig is well combed only with drying done. Then let it rest in a well ventilated place, not closed and free of heat sources. It is therefore the problem of where to put it. It is highly recommended to avoid relying on supports such as polystyrene or boxes that do not let the fibres transpire. Especially after drying, it is good not to use tweezers, tight elastics or clips of any kind. This is to avoid the formation of unwanted creases and difficult to eliminate.
Follow these small steps is essential to store wigs or toupet in the best possible way.
